Enrollment by the deadline and positive review of art portfolio by studio instructors.

Teaching goals (program content, subject description)

The program of the studio for the third year of studies is not only an opportunity to further expand workshop possibilities, but above all to work on one's own artistic language, searching for motifs - both visual and semantic. It is an attempt to combine artistic language with the idea, thought and emotion. The task "I am here, today", which deals with issues of one's own identity and place in today's world, also serves this purpose.

The form of passing the course (assesment methods and criteria)

Participate in three studio reviews per semester by showing your current painting work (in case of in-studio review). Uploading a pdf file with reproductions of works, their description (technique, dimensions) and author's commentary (in case of online review).


Evaluation of class attendance.


Evaluation of the student's performance of studio paintings and responses to the term assignment.


Evaluation of the student's progress during the semester.

Final requirements

1.Key painting problems:
a.The painterly study of the human figure, taking into account anatomical structure, correct proportions, and rendering the character and likeness of the model;

i. manner of developing modeling in painting
j. construction of space in a painting
k. arrangement of composition, play of optical illusions

2. Knows at least three of the readings listed in the course bibliography. Can analyze theoretical knowledge which contribute to his/her progress in work on painting.
3. The importance of originality of an artistic attitude. Understands the importance of the creative process leading to the achievement of an honest, authentic, own painting expression.

2. Apply their knowledge in the execution of a painting study from a model in studio settings and tasks set in the studio and their own painting work.
3. Consciously apply knowledge of means of expression, color shaping and expression in creating original, high quality paintings.
4. Can independently produce a painting work for which he/she is fully responsible in aesthetic, ethical, social and legal terms.
5. Has a good grasp of painting skills in oil, acrylic and tempera painting and can produce technologically correct paintings.
6. Develop and verbally present an analysis of a painting in thematic (content) and visual (form) contexts.

1. Critically formulate and express their own judgments about painting, directions in painting. Formulate and express opinions about their own paintings, defend their artistic claims, use argumentation.

2. Discuss constructively in a studio, in a group of friends, analyse the final exhibition, express opinions on painting while being tolerant of other students' attitudes and sensitivities.
