Prerequisites

Holding a bachelor's degree and a positive interview result for a second degree program.


Own photographic equipment of amateur SLR class, with wide angle lens, own computer with graphics software.
Teaching goals (program content, subject description)

Program content:


Principles of collecting photographic material.
Principles of collecting audio material.
Principles of collecting video material.
Application of image in social communication.
Methods of social communication in space and time.
Building awareness of social processes.
Helping to formulate own point of view on social issues.
Efficiency in contacts and work with people.

 


Program topics:


Organization of work when collecting materials.
Development of projects.
Controlling the message at all stages of work, from gathering to compiling materials.
Building interest and community involvement.
Establishing relationships with community partners.
The form of passing the course (assesment methods and criteria)

Evaluation Criteria:

Evaluation of the compatibility of the assumptions with the result of the work.
Evaluation of the uniqueness of the project.
Evaluation of the social importance of the project.
Final requirements

Passing the final examination after the fourth semester.
In case of the Master's thesis: elaboration of one project on social issues in a complex media form and its public presentation.
