Successful completion of semester IV.

Teaching goals (program content, subject description)

The goal of this course is to familiarize students with the fundamental issues related to the history of design in the context of social, cultural, political and technological change. As a result, students will be able to understand the multiple connections of their own discipline to social life and find the historical sources of contemporary practice.

The form of passing the course (assesment methods and criteria)

1. evaluation of the activity during classes and independent drawing conclusions and presenting and justifying their own opinions
2. evaluation of the level of mastering the material from the first semester on the basis of the semester paper
3. evaluation of the substantive level of homework

Final requirements

1. Writing a term paper during the 5th semester.
2. Activity during the classes.
3. Preparation and submission of homework assigned during the semester.
4. Attendance in class (unexcused absence allowed: 4 hours).

Compulsory literature used during classes

Podczas zajęć nie jest wymagana literatura obowiązkowa. Treści programowe są przekazywane w formie prezentacji.

Student_ka w podstawowym stopniu posiada wiedzę dotyczącą poszczególnych specjalności składających się na wzornictwo oraz umie opisać ich znaczenie dla całości procesu projektowego. Student_ka zna podstawy teoretyczne wzornictwa i (w zarysie) jego historię. [K1_W03, K1_W04, K1_W17]

Student_ka potrafi porozumiewać się zarówno werbalnie, jak pisemnie z wykładowcami kierunków projektowych i teoretycznych przy pomocy podstawowej terminologii obowiązującej w danej dziedzinie wzornictwa. [K1_U16]

Student_ka jest gotów/gotowa do dalszego kształcenia się i zdaje sobie sprawę, że uzyskane na tym kursie wiadomości stanowią wstęp do szerokiego zakresu informacji, które zdobędzie w następnych latach. [K1_K01]
