- problem-based lecture covering sources of inspiration, the role of theme and content in influencing the meaning of the work.

Prerequisites

- Successful completion of the fourth year of study in painting.


- High level of involvement in own artistic work.
Final requirements

We require from each of the students paintings that confirm their great individual effort and involvement in the creation of content, form and undertaken themes; that confirm the awareness of the student's artistic expression in the context of contemporary times (not only social life but also nature, technology, etc.)
The form of passing the course (assesment methods and criteria)

- Presentation in the student's own studio or in a studio in the Faculty, of works made during the semester.(or online using the Google meet platform)
- Verbal commentary on one's own artistic intentions, the course and effect of the studies conducted and the results of the work, at the semester review in the Studio in the Faculty (or online using the Google meet platform).

- Evaluation criteria:
evaluation of the work project and the degree of its implementation
evaluation of the workload
evaluation of the artistic quality of the completed works
relevance of the paintings to contemporary times

in the case of an online review, it is required to send a PDF file with the reproductions to the supervisor
Teaching goals (program content, subject description)

Ability to create paintings with a significant degree of individuality.


Ability to represent the intentions for which the student has a need to paint.
Compulsory literature used during classes

Any book position of the student's choice on creativity in various fields of art.
Additional literature recommended for the student's self learning

Book entries selected by the student on creative expression.
Learning outcomes
SkillsKnowledgeSocial competences

The graduates will be able to:
K_U06 construct statements in oral and written form (including multimedia), properly structured and communicative on topics concerning both painting and drawing, as well as broad issues in the field of art and related humanistic disciplines. To discuss and debate in public on art topics and to moderate a debate.

K_U09 plan their own artistic development; set artistic and workshop goals for themselves; pursue these goals in stages; assimilate new knowledge, learn new artistic solutions and technologies; learn throughout life.

The graduate knows and understands:
K_W06 the historical, cultural and social context of the visual arts. The relationship of plastic arts with other fields of contemporary life; reflection of fundamental dilemmas of contemporary civilization in plastic arts.
K_W08 problems concerning contemporary cultural life (film, theater, music, artistic events, plastic arts exhibitions) both in Poland and abroad, enabling to analyze and interpret works of art including paintings.
K_W10 detailed rules concerning patterns of independence and freedom in creating artistic expression.

K_K05 to fulfill the role of an artist-painter. Acceptance of responsibility for own artistic works and expressions. Ethical attitude of an artist towards the recipient of art and society. Observe the copyright law and take care of the intellectual property of other authors.
Description of the requirements for the studio, workshop or teaching aids

20 m2 in the studio for each graduate student,easel, chairs, table, disinfectant, sink, cleaning supplies.projector
