Design and art skills, skills in 3D space

The program implemented as part of the classes prepares the student to work in the profession of an interior designer.
The curriculum is designed to prepare for independent, conscious and professional project activities.
The classes are aimed at deepening the knowledge and developing the skills required for practicing the profession of interior designer, they are to equip students with artistic, professional and technical qualifications necessary in professional practice.
They develop spatial imagination and shape artistic sensitivity necessary to function in the profession.
The diploma project is a summary of a two-year graduate course.
The issues taken in it deepen and develop the student's knowledge and skills in the field of interior design and working on large-area projects and a complex functional program.
The final study also shows the student's workshop skills and technical knowledge.

Detailed program of activities:
- Overview of the scope of diploma work and forms of technical and graphic development (design part and descriptive part)
(Students independently choose the topics of work in the field of interior design)
- Multifaceted analysis of the space selected for the project implementation
- Analysis of the functional program of the interior, taking into account the needs of target users and service
- Moodbord - the target character of the interior, inspirations and ideas
- Design process - Shaping space using appropriate artistic means (composition, color, texture, relations of size and distance, rhythm, role of artificial and natural light)
- Materials and technical elements in the interior
- Fixed and movable equipment (catalog selection, design of selected individual interior elements)
- Implementation of a detailed design of the selected interior element
- Techniques of project presentation with particular emphasis on the clarity of the message

Assessment of an individual student's work according to the scale of grades placed in the Study Regulations
from 0 to 5+. The evaluation consists of:
• Independence of the design decisions taken 30%
• Creativity (artistic level and innovation of the proposed solutions) 20%
• The correctness of functional, construction and building solutions,
material 30%
• Active participation in classes (presence) 10%
• Artistic level of the final graphic design 10%

Development of a selected interior design in the form of boards + electronic documentation on CD
and a multimedia presentation.
Scope of the study:
Inventory (output documentation)
Sketches, inspirations, moodboards
Architectural design drawings
Interior design drawings (projections, wall expansion and sections in color)
Visualizations of selected interiors (animations)
Description of design and technical solutions.
