Teaching goals (program content, subject description) |
The aim of education is to master the ability to consciously build space for people and strictly defined functions in relation to space, using the right construction and materials, taking into account the economics of solutions. The Architectural Design course is to prepare for conscious and responsible shaping of architecture. Classes aimed at deepening knowledge and training skills required while practicing the profession of interior designer. The aim is also to make students aware of the essence of the design process - an indication that it consists of certain stages, in addition - the architect is at the head of a multi-discipline team, must have general knowledge in many fields, but also work with many specialists, which enforces the creation of the reality of solutions and team skills. The essence of the studio's program is to emphasize two key factors in the design process - the architectural design is created in response to the investor's needs, but it is equally important to take into account the conditions that affect the shape of the building. The main reason for this is the need to pay attention to establishing a dialogue between the designed building and the surroundings. The second aspect is the functionality of design solutions and their correctness in relation to the basic requirements of regulations - such as minimum distances, height of rooms, etc. Another issue is shaping the architectural form, maintaining moderation and restraint in the selection of the means of expression. In addition, the necessity to use technical knowledge, which was discussed earlier in the construction classes, is stressed. The program assumptions are reflected in the topics set for each semester. These topics are not too complicated, thanks to which they enable achieving the correct solution of function, structure and form. The topics of the exercises include grading the extent of the issues - the next semesters are increasing the difficulty of tasks. The choice of subject will depend on the program that the student made during the first-cycle studies. Locations are foreseen in Warsaw and the province Mazowieckie. Sample topics: NSM sem. 2 and 3: - to choose from: • tourist hostel The topic must be different than the one implemented in the semester 2 |
