Prerequisites

Passing the entrance examination, general knowledge of the history of culture and art, in particular about contemporary design and artistic trends; the skill of creative observation, openness to inspiration; knowledge of software support to the extent that the tasks can be completed.

Final requirements

Ability of original, own artistic expression; the ability to consciously use a specialized workshop; the ability to creatively search for creative solutions within the studied specialty; public presentation of one's own work during the commission diploma exam.

The form of passing the course (assesment methods and criteria)

Assessment of an individual (artistic) work of a student, assessment of the level of knowledge and skills, evaluation of the presentation of their own work according to the scale of grades placed in the Study Regulations.

Teaching goals (program content, subject description)

1. Gaining advanced, specialized knowledge in the field of interior design, furniture and equipment.
2. Identification and definition of requirements for individual types of private interiors (housing) and public facilities: service interiors, representative interiors, specialized interiors - schools, hospitals, etc.
3. Designing of closed spaces (interiors) by appropriate adaptation of artistic means to the existing functional and aesthetic needs.
4. Awareness of the interdependence between architecture, sculpture and new media.

The graduate can:
K_U01 use your knowledge - formulate and solve complex and unusual problems and innovatively perform tasks in unpredictable conditions by:
- proper selection of sources and information from them, evaluation, critical analysis, synthesis and creative interpretation and presentation of this information,
- selection and application of appropriate methods and tools, including advanced information and communication technologies (ICT)
K_U03 make independent decisions regarding the design and implementation of artistic works, use the patterns underlying artistic creation, enabling the freedom and independence of artistic expression, and design the effects of artistic works in terms of aesthetic, social and legal
K_U04 perform an analysis of the cultural, spatial, functional and technical context of the site / object being the subject of the project under development;
K_U05 consciously conduct a complex, multi-threaded project process, also of an interdisciplinary nature;
K_U06 consciously and freely move within the scope of spatial composition using her experience in operating relations of forms, proportions, colors and light;
K_U07 consciously use the skills of the workshop enabling the creative and effective implementation of the design process and clear development of the presentation of the project with traditional techniques and computer techniques at a high, professional level;

K_W01 in a deepened degree - selected facts, objects and phenomena and their methods and theories explaining the complex relationships between them, providing advanced general knowledge in the field of artistic design art creating the theoretical basis, ordered and theoretically founded knowledge covering key issues and selected issues in the field advanced detailed knowledge - appropriate for the education program
K_W02 detailed rules for the conscious use of plastic means necessary for the development of projects in accordance with the selected specialty; detailed rules regarding the area of ​​art necessary to formulate and solve complex issues in the field of artistic discipline of design art
K_W03 extended range of issues related to execution techniques, materials science, and other specialist issues relevant to interior design, appropriate for the chosen specialty.
W_W04 detailed issues concerning various techniques of project presentation, including 2D and 3D computer techniques;
K_W05 the historical and cultural context of the field of visual arts and its connections with other fields of modern life, and independently develops this knowledge in a way corresponding to the field of study - interior architecture - and the chosen specialty.
K_W07 rules for creating artistic works and creating artistic activities with a high degree of originality based on knowledge about styles in art and related creative and reproductive traditions.
K_W09 issues related to technologies used in the artistic discipline of design art (in the overall approach) and technological development related to the selected specialty.
