Teaching goals (program content, subject description)

Seminarium będzie poświęcone problematyce współczesności: nowoczesnej sztuce i krytyce światowej. Kontekst teoretyczny zajęć zarysowuje najnowsza antologia tłumaczeń Lyotard, Derrida, Hillis Miller i inni: Kalifornijska teoria krytyczna. Antologia tekstów, IBL PAN, Warszawa 2019. Ponadto, dyskusja na zajęciach będzie dotyczyła najnowszych tekstów, krytycznych i filozoficznych dotyczących problemów sztuki współczesnej, które pozyskałam podczas mojego niedawnego stażu naukowego na Uniwersytecie Kalifornijskim.

 Inspiracją do dyskusji na zajęciach będą dzieła twórców współczesnych (Bruce Nauman, Joseph Kosuth, Jasper Johns, Joseph Beuys, On Kawara, Mark Rothko)w kontekście tekstów filozoficznych i krytycznych autorów takich jak m. in.: Jacques Derrida, Jean-François Lyotard, Fredric Jameson, Rosalind E. Krauss, Arthur Danto.

 W ramach seminarium przewidziane jest również zwiedzanie najnowszych wystaw prezentowanych w galeriach takich jak: Zachęta, Muzeum Sztuki Nowoczesnej, CSW, Galeria Foksal, odwiedzanie najnowszych wystaw, rozmowy z kuratorami.

Zależnie od zainteresowań uczestników, program seminarium może zostać poszerzony o kontekst współczesnej prozy amerykańskiej (John Barth, Vladimir Nabokov, Thomas Pynchon, Donald Barthelme, William Gaddis, Robert Coover).

 Dobra znajomość angielskiego będzie mile widziana, ze względu na możliwość lektury w oryginale najnowszych tekstów nietłumaczonych jeszcze na język polski.
